Data Deletion Request
ZeroSuite provides school-management software (School ERP, Coaching ERP, HRMS and the institution apps) on behalf of the educational institutions that use it. This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held in the Service and what to expect, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).
Last updated: 18 June 2026
1.Who controls your data
Your school or institution is the Data Fiduciary (controller) — it decides what data is collected and why. ZeroSuite is the Data Processor, operating the system on the institution’s behalf. Because of this, deletion of a student’s, parent’s or staff member’s data is coordinated with your school.
2.What data the app holds
Depending on your role and the modules your institution enables, the Service may hold:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity & contact | Name, email address, phone number, account / user ID |
| Profile media | Profile photo (and attendance photo, where that module is used) |
| Attendance | Attendance records; for staff geo check-in, the precise location captured at the moment of marking |
| Device | Push-notification device token (FCM/APNs) used to deliver notifications |
All data is encrypted in transit and is never sold or shared for advertising. For the complete list of data categories across the school, coaching and HRMS modules, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
3.How to request deletion
Email grievance@zerosuite.in from the email address on your account, including:
- Subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
- Your full name and role (parent / student / teacher / staff)
- The name of your school or institution
- If requesting on behalf of a child, confirmation that you are the parent/guardian
We verify the request with you and your school, then complete deletion within 30 days.
4.What gets deleted — and what may be retained
We delete your personal data from the Service. However, some records may be retained where the law or the institution requires it — for example, attendance, fee or academic records the institution must keep for statutory or audit purposes. Where data must be retained, we restrict its use to that legal purpose only and delete or anonymise it once the obligation ends (typically within 30–90 days unless the law requires longer).
5.Account removal
If your account was created by your school, the school can also deactivate or remove it directly from their admin panel. For self-managed accounts, deletion via the email above removes both the account and its associated personal data, subject to the retention exceptions above.
